Although students register for classes with the University Registrar rather than the Bursar, their standing with the Office of the Bursar can affect their registration. All fees are payable by the deadlines published in the OSCAR for each academic term. Registration is not complete until all fees have been paid.

Payment may be made either by wire transfer, in cash or by check payable in United States Currency and drawn from a financial institution located in the United States of America (the Institute reserves the right to determine the acceptability of all checks). Checks must be made payable to GEORGIA TECH and have the checking account number encoded. Go to the Payment Options page for more information.

When you provide a check as payment, you authorize us either to use the information from your check to make a one time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction. Persons wishing to opt out of the check conversion must use another form of payment. For inquiries, please call 404-894-4618.

If a check given in payment of student fees is not paid upon presentation to the bank on which it is drawn, a Bursar "Hold" will be placed on the student's records. This student will not be permitted to register for further course work or receive, or have forwarded to external third parties, transcripts of grades until the financial obligation represented by the returned check has been paid. (Please see further information regarding returned checks ).

Housing Prepayments can now be made via the OSCAR website.

• Go to: https://oscar.gatech.edu
• Click on: Secured Access Login and (login using your gt ID# and pin)
• Click on: Campus Services
• Click on: Campus Deposits
• Select a Deposit Type
• Submit
• Choose VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, or DISCOVER CREDIT CARDS
  No fee charged for using credit cards for Housing Prepayments (this is the only option to pay on-line)
• Then click on: Submit Deposit to process the Housing Prepayment.

Once processed, the student can submit their Housing Application online.

(If the semester has already started, payment will be in full and to your student invoice statement.)

All fees are payable by the deadlines published on the Bursar Calendar for each academic term. Registration is not complete until all fees have been paid. Class schedules will be cancelled for students failing to pay their schedules in full by the stated deadlines.
