Although students register for classes with the University Registrar rather than the Bursar, their standing with the Office of the Bursar can affect their registration. All fees are payable by the deadlines published in the OSCAR for each academic term. Registration is not complete until all fees have been paid.
Payment may be made either by wire transfer, in cash or by check payable in United States Currency and drawn from a financial institution located in the United States of America (the Institute reserves the right to determine the acceptability of all checks). Checks must be made payable to GEORGIA TECH and have the checking account number encoded. Go to the Payment Options page for more information.
When you provide a check as payment, you authorize us either to use the information from your check to make a one time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction. Persons wishing to opt out of the check conversion must use another form of payment. For inquiries, please call 404-894-4618.
If a check given in payment of student fees is not paid upon presentation to the bank on which it is drawn, a Bursar "Hold" will be placed on the student's records. This student will not be permitted to register for further course work or receive, or have forwarded to external third parties, transcripts of grades until the financial obligation represented by the returned check has been paid. Housing Prepayments and Deposits
Housing Prepayments can now be made via the OSCAR website.
- Login to BuzzPort using your GT Account and Password information.
- Click the Registration - OSCAR link
- Click on: Campus Services
- Click on: Campus Deposits (Please enable pop-ups or hold down the Ctrl key when you click to open the new window)
- A new window opens to the Student+Bill Payment portal
- Click on the eDeposits tab at the top of the page
- Use the drop down arrow to select the term for making a deposit and click Select
- Use the drop down arrow to select the deposit type and click Select
- Click on Continue
- Select a Payment Method and click Select
(If the semester has already started, payment will be in full and to your student invoice statement.)
All fees are payable by the deadlines published on the Bursar Calendar for each academic term. Registration is not complete until all fees have been paid. Class schedules will be cancelled for students failing to pay their schedules in full by the stated deadlines.

Late Payment Fee
Late payment fee of $75 may be applied to student accounts with a balance due after the fee payment deadline for each semeseter.
Classes may be canceled for non payment if a balance due remains on a student's account after the fee deadline.
