Payment Options
WebCheck
Georgia Tech offers the ability to pay by check over the Internet using WebCheck. WebCheck is a cost-effective ACH transaction resulting in significant cost savings to Georgia Tech over credit card transactions. Yet, it still provides you with the convenience of paying over the Web. Rather than writing a traditional check from a checking account, you can process the check electronically over the web through Oscar Registration. It is secure, convenient and free!
Please note that Home Equity line of credit and credit card checks are not accepted via ACH (WebCheck). If you wish to use one of these, you can mail a check (see below) to the Bursar's Office or you can transfer funds to your checking account and then pay via WebCheck.
Credit Card
Georgia Tech uses an outside Vendor to process MasterCard, American Express and Discover payments ONLY. You will be charged a service fee of 2.75% by the Vendor for this service. Don't forget, you can pay by check with no fee. The charge will automatically be added to the amount of the payment. This charge may be avoided by using WebCheck or paying by cash or check at the Bursar's window.
Many colleges and universities facing the same financial and security challenges have chosen to discontinue the acceptance of credit cards for tuition and fee payments or have implemented similar convenience charge programs. The Institute will continue to accept credit cards via the Internet for the payment of tuition and fees, but with the convenience charge.
Georgia Tech regrets the need to assess this, but it is made necessary by the escalating costs of providing secure Web access for credit card payments. Rather than increasing fees further across the board, we are only charging those who avail themselves of this service in an attempt to recoup a portion of those costs.
Mail In Payments
Make all checks or money orders payable to GEORGIA TECH. When you provide a check as payment, you authorize us either to use the information from your check to make a one time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction. Persons wishing to opt out of the check conversion must use another form of payment. For inquiries, please call 404-894-4618. Student's ID must be clearly printed on the checks or money orders. Please mail to the following address:

Wire Transfer of Funds
For instructions on how to make a wire transfer of funds for payment, please login to the Student Payment Portal and look under Announcements. Authorized users (parents or others who have been granted access) may login to the Parent Payment Portal for these instructions. Additionally, instructions for making a wire payment may be found by logging in to BuzzPort using your GT Account and Password information. Click on the Registration - OSCAR link. Next, click on Student Services & Financial Aid. Now, click on Registration. Then, click on Student Invoice Statement And Web Payment Options.
If making payments through a Bill Payment Service, such as provided by your Financial Institution, please include the student GT ID as the account number associated with their GT payee set up. Also allow sufficient time for possible mail delays.
International Wire Transfer of Funds
The most efficient means for an international student to pay student tuition is through Travelex's Bank to Bank Transfer. This option allows you to pay your university invoice in your currency of choice and provides a simple and secure way of initiating a payment electronically. For further details, see the Travelex Instructions. To initiate an international wire, please click here.
On Campus Payments
Students who pay in person should bring their fee payment to one of the following payment locations:
Bursar's Office Cashier Window: First floor of Lyman Hall.
No Credit Card payments are accepted in the Bursar's Office.
DROP BOX: A drop box is located at the entry to Lyman Hall.
Payment (check or money order) can be deposited at any hour of the day before the fee deadline. NO CASH.
Prepayment
Prepayment of fees will be accepted; however, prepayment does not guarantee the student will successfully register for any or all classes needed. It is the student's responsibility to properly register for classes by the registration deadline.
Housing Prepayments and Deposits
Housing prepayments and deposits now can be made via the OSCAR website. For instructions, go to the Bursars Payment page.
