Returned Checks
If a check is returned from the bank (insufficient funds, stop payment, etc.), the student will be required to redeem the returned check with cash or cashier's check in the Bursar's Office. A charge will be assessed for any returned check. Returned checks remaining unredeemed after a reasonable period of time may be forwarded to a collection agency with the student bearing the additional collection cost.

STUDENTS WHO HAVE THREE CHECKS RETURNED AGAINST THEIR GEORGIA TECH ACCOUNTS WILL BE DENIED FUTURE CHECK-WRITING PRIVILEGES.

Checks returned against a student's fees may subject the student's classes to cancellation. Also returned checks do not guarantee cancellation of classes.

IF THE STUDENT INTENDS TO WITHDRAW FROM GEORGIA TECH, IT REMAINS THE STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO FORMALLY WITHDRAW BY SUBMITTING AN "APPLICATION FOR WITHDRAWAL" AT THE REGISTRAR'S OFFICE.
